S.Korea finds additional oil in Kazakhstan field
South Korea has found an additional 11 million barrels of crude oil in a Kazakhstan oil field, the country's state energy explorer said Monday.

Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) said in a statement that the latest discovery brings reserves in the ADA oil field in northwest Kazakhstan to 41 million barrels. KNOC, which plans further exploration near the oil field next year, expects to secure an extra 17 million-42 million barrels of oil, according to the statement.

KNOC and LG Corporation joined a project to develop the oil filed in 2005. The ADA oil field has been producing some 3,200 barrels of crude oil a day for tests since July 2009.
